Arrival in Pahrump

We were surprised to see all our trees and bushes made it through the hot summer. Some of out trees are now 10 ft tall. Our roses and bushes were still in bloom and we harvested 3 peaches from our own peachtree. The house was in good shape.
Our yard had grown many tumbleweeds which will require our attention.

Getting South (part 3)

We started with snow, and ended in sunshine. We did have the opportunity to see fall colors mostly missed in Minnesota.

Going South (part 2)

The country is large and there is much to see. The wide open spaces. We loved the little towns that time forgot. An old fashion movie theater on a downtown street is quite a sight. There is no shortage of wind in the west.

On the road south

After outrunning the snow, we did find ourselves in winter in Nebraska and Wyoming. Although we did not have any delays, it was quite cold. Our poor flowers packed in boxes on our trailer. Pepper had not been in snow for a few years.

Getting Ready to Leave

Leaving is always hard. Everything has to be packed away for the long winter. Separating what to take and what to leave and finding the room to store it takes time.
