Snow in Pahrump 2009

Only one day of snow shortly before Cristmas. By noon it had all

melted and we had a sunny day.

We try to become involved in a lot of sights and activities. Shoshone Days brought us to a wagon train that used the old Spanish Trail . Our friend "Doc" and his pet goat are inseparable during one of our Rockhound outings. A fiddler contest and craft-art show in Death Valley was lots of fun.

Our trees have grown a lot during our absence. We also have made the effort for a Fan Palm in our yard. It has spikes in its trunk and planting also required a trip to the Doctor. The bottle house is near Death Valley. It must have required a lot of drinking and was cheaper then wood or concrete. Relaxing during sunsets is always magical.

Fall 2009

It was nice to get back to the warm weather and outdoor activities. We harvested a great crop of tumbleweeds from our yard. The sunsets have always been spectacular. Being outdoors with no bugs is also a treat.

Always active in some sport.

Always competition at the Lobitz house.

There were some nice days to be spent with family.

Arrival in Pahrump

We were surprised to see all our trees and bushes made it through the hot summer. Some of out trees are now 10 ft tall. Our roses and bushes were still in bloom and we harvested 3 peaches from our own peachtree. The house was in good shape.

Our yard had grown many tumbleweeds which will require our attention.
